Anakin battle lacked the dialogue element and as a result it was a bit more like watching a very well choreographed dance sequence. No matter what medium a Star Wars story is told in, lightsabers very often play a prominent role. The fight matters and it feels like a master facing off against his old apprentice. Obi-Wan duel has so much weight and that' without even having to think about the prequels. In Jedi, you have Vader goading Luke and Palpatine really digging in. In Empire you have Vader taunting Luke and toying with him. Vader battles, there was quite a bit of dialogue and that really carried the emotion in the fight. And they do a little talking at the start and then just fight and only talk again at the end. Yoda just really interrupts the rhythm and flow. Finn has the first go and he shows some competence in his debut lightsaber duel but Kylo is too strong. In a dark forest, with the glow of snow on the ground, it looks beautiful.
